Calgary's Ring Road, Deerfoot Trail and Trans-Canada highways make the communities we build in perfect locations for easy access to and from city life. In many cases, the short commutes between Calgary and a Broadview Homes community is not only easier than navigating congested inner-city streets, but they are also faster and more enjoyable.

Ravenswood, Airdrie

The City of Airdrie is only 20 minutes north of Calgary and is home to roughly 59,000 residents. Ravenswood  offers spectacular views of the Rockies as well as the friendly feeling of small-town living, and plenty of amenities to keep family members of any age active.

The surrounding area boasts over 20 baseball diamonds, an 18-hole golf course, and 50 restaurants. Ravenswood is also a fast growing community perfect for families with children due to its proximity to public, Catholic, and French immersion schools.

The drive from Airdrie to downtown Calgary is only half an hour via the Deerfoot. Access to the highway is only a few minutes from your home, making this short drive even quicker.

If you don’t feel like making the commute yourself, Airdrie offers an express transit system to and from Calgary. The service also provides access to CrossIron Mills mall and the northeastern section of the city.

Boulder Creek Estates, Langdon

If you are looking for a quaint, quiet place to raise your family, Boulder Creek Estates in Langdon is a small community a half-hour south of the city. This rural area offers roughly 100 acres of open spaces and close proximity to lakes and golf courses.

By taking the Trans-Canada (Highway 1), the drive into Calgary is an easy 30 minutes. For a more dramatic entrance into the city, you can take Glenmore Trail, which is only two minutes from your front door, and see the skyline of the city from the south.

Chestermere is the perfect combination of lake and city living. You and your family will never run out of things to do in the growing community of Kinniburgh.

The lake is great for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, sailing and motorized boats for the summer months. In the winter, you can break out the ice skates and snowmobiles.

The commute to Calgary takes 20 minutes via Highway 1. On the way, you'll enjoy the serene shoreline of Lake Chestermere. If you prefer to have company on your commute, the city offers a free carpool matching service. A commuter bus also makes trips to and from the city during the work week.

Homeowners can enjoy a membership to the yacht club. The community also offers a French immersion school, a summer camp on the lake and a shuttle service for destinations in and around the city.

Rancher’s Rise, Okotoks

The City of Okotoks is home to around 25,000 people who enjoy everything nature has to offer. Resting on the banks of the Sheep River, this neighbourhood is perfect for you and your family if you’ve got an adventurous spirit.

The drive from Rancher’s Rise to Calgary takes 30 minutes by way of Highway 2 and enters the city from the south making the brilliance of the city skyline a daily sight. The highway is far enough away to forget it's even there, but close enough to reach in less than ten minutes. The city is also in the process of implementing a public transit system for commuters.

The hardest part about building a home is choosing the ideal location. Fortunately, the communities we build in will make your choice much easier. Whether it’s the 20-minute drive from Ravenswood, the 30-minute scenic route from Boulder Creek Estates, the 25-minute shoreline drive from Kinniburgh, or the 30-minute city view ride from Rancher’s Rise, you're guaranteed a great neighbourhood and a quick commute.
